The debate surrounding the role of women in ministry today continues unabated. H. Wayne House brings to this discussion a comprehensive and conservative appraisal of the issues related to this topic. Examining the arguments from both sides, House opts for complementarian positions: Churches should allow women to participate in more areas of ministry than have traditionally been open to them; nonetheless, some roles are reserved for men. He differs with evangelical feminists, stating that the biblical standard of equality does not mean interchageability of roles. About the Author H.
