Digital Logos Edition
Blessed Contradictions invites the reader to think in new ways about how to understand Scripture. The Bible is written by many authors who often have differing points of view. Instead of seeing these differences as inconsistencies or weaknesses, Blessed Contradictions considers them strengths--ways to see God, theology, ethics, and theodicy from alternative angles. Each of the eight chapters will compare one biblical author to another, show their contradictions, and celebrate the blessings of such diversity.

“The Bible is a book with multiple voices. It invites readers to
join an ongoing conversation about God, ourselves, and the world in
which we live. Michael Anderson offers a highly readable guide to
the conversation. He uses different biblical perspectives in a
lively and engaging way. Discussion questions for each chapter make
the book easy to use for different kinds of groups. A welcome and
accessible resource."
--Craig Koester, Luther Seminary
"Michael Anderson starts with the complexities and seeming
contradictions of the biblical narrative. He both clarifies the
complexities and contradictions and uses them as gateways to deeper
meaning. It is a powerful book."
