Top Highlights

“Jesus is not here on the earth. I hear people say all the time, ‘Jesus is in my heart,’ yet Scripture makes it very clear that He is seated at the right hand of God (see Mark 16:19).” (Page 13)

“The Holy Spirit is actually the first member of the Godhead who appears in the Bible.” (Page 12)

“Both Jesus and the Holy Spirit perform this role of helper or parakletos. So what does this Greek word mean? In the vernacular of the day, it was used to describe a lawyer who pled someone’s case.4 It was also used to describe a personal counselor or a coach—a life coach.” (Pages 21–22)

“Peter confirms this truth: ‘We are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him’ (Acts 5:32). God gives the Holy Spirit to those who obey Him.” (Page 20)

“NLT). If Jesus—the Son of God Himself—needed this ongoing partnership with the Holy Spirit to complete His mission, how much more do we need the Spirit to help us complete our missions?” (Page 20)
