Top Highlights

“This tells us that the unredeemed don’t really know any more about the Lord than animals.” (Page 313)

“The only way to defeat the ‘lust of the flesh,’ the ‘lust of the eyes,’ and the ‘pride of life,’ is for the Christian to exclusively place their Faith in the Sacrifice of Christ, ever making that the object of our Faith. Otherwise, we’ve got a problem on our hands.” (Page 52)

“It was a ‘gazing with a purpose.’ It was a ‘seeing with desire.’ In other words, he looked hard, and he looked hard to see. He looked at the miracles; he looked at the healings; he looked at all the astounding things that were done. And in this ‘looking’ he could find nothing wrong, nothing amiss, and nothing out of the way. It is like someone putting something under a microscope in order to inspect it minutely.” (Page 5)

“If the Preacher doesn’t hold up the Cross as the only answer for sin and sinners, he is not preaching the Gospel, and will not see anyone saved.” (Page 118)

“they denied the Incarnation, ‘God becoming man,’ and as such, they denied the Cross as well as having any validity.” (Page 4)
