Overview

A must-read guide to the Prayer: this is a vital antidote to the temptation, nurtured in our “New Ageö era, to treat the Prayer of Jesus as some sort of Orthodox mantra. While guiding the reader in understanding the intensive use of the Prayer, Bishop Ignatius equally guides him to prudence. To the basic work is appended a meditation upon the Prayer and the prayer rope by a monk of Mount Athos.
