Digital Logos Edition
The Shorter Life of D. L. Moody is divided into two volumes: the first on his life; the second on his work. Written by his son Paul and his son-in-law A. P. Fitt, volume one provides intimate details of his life growing up poor after the early death of his father, his eventual conversion to Christianity, and the events that led to him become one of the country’s most celebrated preachers. Includes photos and interviews with family and friends.

“If only we could make the world believe that we love them,’ said Mr. Moody, ‘there would be fewer empty churches and a smaller proportion of our population who never darken a church door. Let love replace duty in our church relations, and the world will soon be evangelized.’” (Page 32)
“The world has yet to see what God can do with, and for, and through, and in a man who is fully and wholly consecrated to Him.’” (Page 41)
