Overview

In Rethinking Eschatology, Jason L. Quintern presents a compelling defense of postmillennialism, a theological view that Christ’s reign has already begun and is advancing throughout history. Challenging popular end-times scenarios of decline, Quintern argues from a biblical and historical basis that the kingdom of God is progressively expanding through the global spread of the gospel. Drawing on scholars like Kenneth Gentry and Keith Mathison, he shows how the Scriptures depict a victorious, ever-growing Christian influence, culminating in Christ’s return and the final renewal of creation. This book is ideal for students of Scripture, church leaders, and anyone seeking an optimistic and well-reasoned perspective on God’s plan for history and the future.

Dr. Quintern has done current evangelical Christianity a great service with his careful presentation and defense of postmillennialism. This book is characterized by both clarity and thoroughness in introducing postmillennialism in a compelling way. Everything a Christian needs to objectively consider this hope-filled eschatology is contained in this succinct work. Quintern has thrown down the gauntlet for a new generation.

I've heard sermons on the postmillennial view, that sounded very sensible, but I was still left with unanswered questions. This book answered all of them, for which I'm really thankful. The author presents the postmillennial view in a very logical, and Biblically sound manner. Surprisingly, for a book of its size, it covered quite a lot of information and was very easy to understand, which was perfect for me as a lay person. This book is excellent! I can't recommend it enough. Thank you so much!
