Overview

This piece of wisdom literature was originally associated with the Arabian Nights, but papyri discoveries in the late 19th century at Elephantine lead scholars to begin associating this story with the Biblical Apocrypha instead. Its contents show many similarities both the biblical Book of Proverbs and also the deuterocanonical Wisdom of Sirach. The main character, Aḥikar, was chancellor to King Sennacherib and Esarhaddon of Assyria, whose adopted son plots against his life.

After purchasing the product, I can confirm that the Armenian text mostly garbled.

Just looking at the preview, the Armenian text looks to have been OCR'd without any review. Please, find somebody to fix this. By reason of the fact that I am both very familiar with and a constant student of Classical and Modern Armenian, when looking at the preview, I was able to make out what some of it was (probably) supposed to be. This text would, nevertheless, be totally unusable by someone who was trying to compare certain sections of the text with a 'text-critical' sort of approach, where the investigator usually has limited knowledge of languages outside his/her area of specialization. If, however, the preview is not commensurate with the product (i.e. the actual product's text is correct), then I suggest that the preview be updated so as not to deter the sale of the product. In the Love and Grace of Jesus, Noy.
