From the beginning, God’s people have lived by the word that God gave them. Man’s conflict and his survival is not as related to his circumstances or to the assault of demon power in his life as it is to his battle over the word that God has given him. He overcomes by the word and by the precious blood of Christ. Satan constantly maneuvers to cause him to relinquish his faith in what God has said. From the beginning, Satan’s tactics have been, “Hath God said?” To stand fast on the word is to overcome. Here in this book is the picture of the unfolding battle of the ages—God speaks and Satan battles His word. Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? John 11:40.

“Three factors—faith, revelation, and enthusiasm (or violence)—are very important in prophecy.” (Page 42)
“Satan often tries to break a person, not by reality, but by illusion; therefore, you need an immovable quality in your spirit. Trust God.” (Page 10)
“When the revelation and the faith that come to you are tested, little by little the emotional element, the reasoning element, the vindictive element—all the human elements—are slowly but surely refined out. Then all that remains is pure faith. This is the reason that God dealt severely with His people in the past, especially His prophets, He wanted them to prophesy a word that was valid.” (Page 45)
“The army of the Lord will war by prophecy. They will generate release by prophecy. They will agree, and things will be loosed in heaven; they will agree, and things will be bound in heaven. Everything will come forth because of true, intense, perfect faith and the proportion of it by which God’s people prophesy the word of the Lord.” (Page 56)
“Combined with the gift of faith, it becomes creative. It can also be a channel of judgment. By itself, it can be used to speak to men for edification, exhortation, and comfort (I Corinthians 14:3).” (Page 42)
