Overview

Ethical standards are an essential foundation and safety measure in every church. Requiring your pastors and leaders to read Ministerial Ethics will establish the attitude and reverence regarding ethics, plus help you set specific standards for your church. Ministerial Ethics examines the moral and ethical responsibilities facing Spirit-led leaders. Pierce calls ministers and laypeople to not only believe in, but also reflect God’s love, God’s justice, and God’s righteousness. He highlights ethical aspects of our relationship with God and others in three areas: home, church, and community. This thorough explanation covers everything from the biblical basis for ethics, to ethics throughout church history, contemporary moral issues, and ethics in practical ministry such as financial integrity, confidentiality, marriage, and playing favorites in the church.
