Overview

Though some of us in the church may be disturbed by modern trends, we ignore them at our great peril. Changes in belief, culture, marriage, family, media, technology, and mission don’t just affect individuals—they impact the entire body of believers. This hard-hitting examination of the church’s future is both a telescope and microscope—looking out into the vastness of the world, and zooming in on the minute recesses of our hearts. James Emery White calls on the church to boost its spiritual drive and determination to meet the challenges of our day—and the future. If we want to play a vital role in the preservation and growth of Christ’s church in the coming age, we must look beyond daily conflicts and see the much larger battle in which we are engaged.
