The Book of Wisdom begins with an in-depth prolegomena covering the progress of Greek philosophy, Jewish-Alexandrian philosophy, the book’s influence on the theology of the New Testament, and more. William J. Deane then provides the Greek text of the Wisdom of Solomon with a critical apparatus, along with the English translation and text of the Latin Vulgate for side-by-side comparison.
