Bringing together theological essays on topics social and political, the Francis Schaeffer Christians and Culture Collection presents three of Schaeffer’s most important and influential books. Examining questions as diverse as the state of evangelicalism and Christianity in America, Christians and civil disobedience, human dignity, and the crisis of abortion, each of these three books challenges the reader to look beyond themselves and their expectations about Christianity and politics to see how God and Scripture intervene in the public sphere.
Francis A. Schaeffer (1912–1984) authored more than 20 books, which have been translated into a score of languages and sold millions worldwide. He and his wife, Edith, founded L’Abri Fellowship international study and discipleship centers. Recognized internationally for his work in Christianity and culture, Schaeffer passed away in 1984 but his influence and legacy continue worldwide.
