Zondervan is an international Christian media and publishing company that strives to give people resources that glorify Jesus Christ and promote biblical principles. Zondervan was founded in 1931 as a bookselling company in Michigan by brothers Pat and Bernie Zondervan. Two years later, Zondervan published their first book, Women of the Old Testament.
Zondervan first published the New International Version (NIV) in partnership with the International Bible Society and eight years later, it became the #1 Bible translation.
In 1988, Zondervan became a company of Harper Collins Publishers. Zondervan published The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren which sold more than 30 million copies.
