People are tired of a mock, pseudo, superficial Christianity. The doctrine of salvation by grace alone is possibly the most necessary of concepts for Christians—and all the world—to understand. Yet few can say they really comprehend its significance. Fewer still realize how this doctrine functions next to the admonition that faith without works is dead. How are we to understand the relationship? In 2-Sides of the Same Coin, Mark Kielar explains both individual concepts—and how they fit together as two sides of the same coin.
Salvation by Grace explores one of the most important doctrines in Christianity (the doctrine which gives this section its title), a doctrine that must be received and embraced before any others can be fully benefited from. “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast” (Ephesians 2: 8-9). When it comes to our personal salvation, these are some of the most powerful words ever written. Unfortunately, they're also some of the most underappreciated words ever written. If you ask the vast majority of people (as this series’ creators have done), they will tell you that there's something they can do to gain entrance into heaven. Sadly, some of the world's most popular religions base salvation on something the individual person must do. The Bible says otherwise.
The Faith Without Deeds section tackles the flip side of doctrine. The story of Noah's ark provides the perfect parallel and visual backdrop for a teaching based on a sermon from the great 18th century Puritan scholar: Jonathan Edwards. It's on one of Scripture's great paradoxes: how we cannot be saved by works, yet without works, we cannot truly be saved. It is a paradox, but not a contradiction; though skeptical people will swear that there are contradictions in the Bible, there are none—but there are some paradoxes. Faith Without Deeds explores this and other important aspect of this imperative doctrine.

Q: Can I skip forward and backward in the video presentations?
A: Yes, you can navigate by clicking in the table of contents (which keeps current with where you are in the video), by entering a time in the active index window, or by pulling the slider bar. Play, pause, and stop buttons are also available. See screenshot at right.
Q: Can I project these videos on a screen or TV for my Sunday school class?
A: No. Personal Video Books are digitized at a size (approximately 312 x 240 pixels) and resolution that looks great on your monitor (see the demo) but is not suitable for public viewing. They are intended for personal use, as an aid to your biblical studies.
Q: What do I need to play back this video?
A: You simply need Libronix DLS and a DVD drive on your computer. If you have enough space, you could copy the files to your hard drive...but we anticipate that most users will run them from the DVD disc. The videos are not currently available on CD-ROM and they are not for use in combination with your television and standard DVD player.
Q: How do I move between episodes on a DVD-ROM disc?
A: If your computer has the extra hard drive space, then we recommend that you copy the files to your hard drive. This makes it easy to move between files because you won't have to switch the DVD in and out of your computer, which is the other option if you don't want to copy all the files.
