Pathway to Freedom: How God's Laws Guide Our Lives

  • Author: Alistair Begg
  • Publisher: Moody
  • Publication Date: 2004
  • Pages: 254

Sample Pages: 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5

There's good news for lawbreakers! Alistair Begg's Pathway to Freedom will help strengthen morally indifferent Christians, by teaching the importance of obedience to God's Word. This fresh look at the Ten Commandments is desperately needed in today's secular culture.

We have entered into a time of moral crisis in our culture and in the church as well. Stories about divorce, adultery, and the individualized picking and choosing of doctrines abound. Pathway to Freedom is forthright and necessary teaching that today’s church cannot afford to ignore. How now shall we live? The beginning of the answer must be in obedient to God’s moral law summarized in the Ten Commandments.

The Hand of God: Finding His Care in All Circumstances

  • Author: Alistair Begg
  • Publisher: Moody
  • Publication Date: 2001
  • Pages: 208

Sample Pages: 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5

Are we hapless victims of life’s whims? Are we driven along by some blind and impersonal force? Are we battered by circumstances beyond all control? A thousand times, “No!” says pastor and author Alistair Begg. Instead, Begg says we are the objects of God’s providential care. We reside under his guiding and protecting hand. It’s an amazing and comforting fact: God rules and overrules in the circumstances of life.

Alistair Begg captures the powerful lessons of Joseph's life in this richly textured study. Readers will see God at work, shaping Joseph's circumstances so that he can ultimately redeem and reconcile his family. And they'll see the hand of God in their lives, lovingly guiding them through their disappointments and struggles to a place of peace.

The story of Joseph is well known. What is not well understood is how God was directing Joseph in every circumstance of his life. The way Alistair presents the story of Joseph will let you see in your own life how God is also in control of ALL of your life's circumstances too. You will see your life and your future from a more relax[ed] perspective once you realize and understand that God is in control making the decisions that are best suited for you. I truly recommend this book for anyone interested in finding God's providence in his/her life.
