About the Editor
Walter A. Elwell is one of evangelicalism's leading editors of biblical reference works. Besides the Baker Encyclopedia of the Bible and the Evangelical Commentary on the Bible, he has also edited the Handbook of Evangelical Theologians and the Evangelical Dictionary of Theology. He is professor of biblical and theological studies at Wheaton College Graduate School. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Edinburgh.
