Introducing Inline Search

Using the new Inline Search in Logos 6.

How to Search within an open Resource

Inline searching enables powerful search functions directly within an open resource, far beyond Logos 5's "Find" ability.

  • Use the Inline Search button to enable this feature.
  • Enter a search term (e.g. "Moabites").
  • Press Enter for a simple word find OR select a Smart Search suggestion.

Results will appear directly in the open resource. If you used a Smart Search suggestion, you will even see results for other references to the search term, regardless of how they were written (e.g. "Moab" or "them").

Unlike standard searches, these results appear directly within the resource panel and include any notes or markups you may have added to that resource.

Alternatively, you can also right-click a word, select its "Lemma" (context menu, left side) and Search "this resource (inline)" to find results on a lemma. This also works for other data types, like people, places, events, etc.
