Solution 2 (for Advanced Users):

WARNING: This article includes information about using the Registry Editor (regedit.exe) to modify the Windows Registry. Incorrectly modifying the registry can result in severe problems that may require you to reinstall Windows. Logos cannot guarantee that your computer will be restored to its original condition. Use Registry Editor at your own risk. Logos Technical Support is available to help you with this process by calling (800) 875-6467. Before you edit the registry, you may want to read this Microsoft article to learn how to export registry keys and back up/restore the Windows Registry: Windows registry information for advanced users.
  1. Close the error windows and all other programs.
  2. Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box and click OK to open the Registry Editor.
  3. Expand the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE key, right-click on SOFTWARE, and choose Permissions.
  4. Click the Advanced button. Press Alt+Print Scrn keys to send a copy of this window to the Windows Clipboard. Click into a blank word processing document and press Ctrl+V (or Edit | Paste) to paste the screenshot. You will then be able to refer to this list of permissions in steps 11-13 below.
  5. Click Cancel twice to exit the Advanced Security Settings and Permissions windows for SOFTWARE.
  6. Expand the SOFTWARE key, right-click on Classes and choose Permissions.
  7. Click the Advanced button. On the Permissions tab, the list of entries should be blank.
  8. Click the Add button.
  9. Click the Advanced button.
  10. Click the Find Now button. A list of users will populate the lower part of the window.
  11. Referring to your document from step 4, select the first name in the screenshot and click OK twice.
  12. In the Permission Entry window, select the correct Apply onto and Permissions settings for the named User according to the screenshot (for Special choose Full Control), and click OK.
  13. Repeat steps 8-12 for each User Name. When complete, click OK. It may take a few minutes for the changes to be applied. When complete, the hourglass will disappear and the Advanced Security Settings window will close. Click OK to exit the Permissions windows for Classes.
  14. Close the Registry Editor.
  15. Reattempt the Libronix DLS installation.

If Error 1402 or 1406 reoccurs, or if you do not feel comfortable editing the registry using the steps above, please call Logos Customer Support (800) 875-6467 for technical assistance.
