Using the Library Resource Display

Using Logos with the Logos Community

You can use Logos to interact with the broader Logos Community through new Community tools.

Community in the Library

The Library now contains Community Ratings and Tags from other Logos users. Community Ratings are represented by blue-shaded stars in the rating column while your personal ratings are yellow (and always out-rank community ratings).

Community tags are visible in the "Community Tags" column, or in the "information" panel of a resource. They can be searched with the prefix "tag:" They do not replace your personal tags, which are still available in the "My Tags" (search prefix "mytag:") column.

Community in Resources

You will also find Community highlights within a resource, represented by a dotted underline and highlighter pen icon . They can be enabled or disabled in the Visual Filters menu.

Changing Community Settings

You can adjust your Community settings in the "Program Settings" panel, under the Internet section.

  • Click on "Tools"
  • Select "Program Settings"
  • Scroll down to "Internet"
  • Set "Show Community Ratings" or "Show Community Tags" to Yes or No as desired.
Community Ratings, Highlights and Tags are annonymous. Highlights do not include style or annotation. Personal tags will not be displayed to other users unless identically tagged by several other Logos users.
