Using the Scan Command

Some 3rd Party publishers still distribute their materials in the Libronix Digital Library System format. Libronix is no longer supported, but these resources are compatible with the more current Logos 4 software. Follow the steps below to scan these products into Logos 4.

Step 1: Activate your Product

If this is a new product that you have not used in LDLS, please contact Customer Service to pre-activate your new product.

If this is an old product that you have previously used in LDLS, you can skip this step.

Step 2: Scanning
  • Insert your LDLS Product CD-Rom. (also works with LLS CD-Roms)
  • Open Logos 4.
  • Type the following command in the "Command" box ath the top of the program:
    Scan DVD
    (Mac Command: "Scan Optical Media")
  • Your CD/DVD Drive will be listed. Select it. (Example: "Scan E:\")
  • Close Logos 4, but do not remove the CD-Rom
  • Open Logos again.

At this point, Logos should begin "Preparing your Library." This may take several minutes, depending on the amount of data to be scanned. Once complete, your books should be available in the Library. You may wish to repeat these steps with any additional LDLS products you own, if they are not already visible in the Library.
