Libronix Update Error Code 5

Problem:

This error may appear during a Libronix software update or during a Libronix license update. In both cases there may be a conflict with your temporary Internet files. Follow the appropriate instructions below to resolve the problem.

Solution 1: While updating the software

  1. Close the Libronix Update window containing the Error Code 5.

  2. In Internet Explorer 6: click on Tools | Internet Options. Click the Delete Files button on the General tab, check the Delete all offline content box, and click OK.  When complete, click OK to exit. In Internet Explorer 7: in the Internet Options window, under Browsing history, click on Delete, then click on Delete Files (Temporary Internet Files). Close Close and OK to exit.

  3. Reinitiate the update from step 2 on this page: http://www.logos.com/support/downloads/ldls/newuser.

Solution 2: While updating your licenses

  1. In Internet Explorer 6: click on Tools | Internet Options. Click the Delete Files button on the General tab, check the Delete all offline content box, and click OK.  When complete, click OK to exit. In Internet Explorer 7: in the Internet Options window, under Browsing history, click on Delete, then click on Delete Files (Temporary Internet Files). Close Close and OK to exit.

  2. Go back to the 'Restoring Your Digital Library Licenses' email you received from customerservice@logos.com and double-click on the attached file. If the update still does not start, save the file to your desktop and run it from there.
