Line 123 Error Playing Hymn or Pronouncing Greek Word

Line 123 Error Playing Hymn or Pronouncing Greek Word

Problem:

When a hymn is played or a Greek word is pronounced using the Greek Pronunciation Addin, an Internet Explorer Script Error occurs:

Line 123 (MediaPlayer.html) 'Object doesn't support this property or method'

Solution 1:

This problem can be caused by an outdated version of the Windows Media Player (WMP).  To update follow one of the two steps below:

  1. In WMP click on Help | Check for Updates. If the menu bar is not visible, click on the Layout Options button (2nd button to the left of the Search box) and select Show Classic Menus.
  2. Close WMP and run Windows Updates by clicking on Start | All Programs | Windows Update.

If Windows Media Player is up-to-date, a message will pop up saying, "Your computer is running the most recent version of Windows Media Player and all of its components. No update is available at this time." If WMP is up-to-date, follow the steps in Solution 2 below.

Solution 2:

This problem can be caused by incorrect registry entries for the Windows Media Player. To fix the problem, register the WMPDXM component manually:

In Windows Vista:

  1. Close Libronix.
  2. Click on Start button and click into the Start Search box.
  3. Type cmd.exe. When cmd.exe (or cmd) appears at the top of the Start Menu under Programs, right click on the filename and choose Run as administrator.
    • If a User Account Control (UAC) window appears asking for permission, click Continue.
    • A command prompt window will open.
  4. Type regsvr32 WMPDXM.DLL next to the prompt (>) and press Enter. A RegSvr32 message will pop up saying "DllRegisterServer in WMPDXM.DLL succeeded." Click OK.
  5. Open Libronix and play a hymn or pronunciation.

In Windows XP:

  1. Close Libronix.
  2. Click on Start | Run.
  3. Type or copy and paste the line below, then click OK:
    regsvr32 WMPDXM.DLL
  4. A RegSvr32 message will pop up saying "DllRegisterServer in WMPDXM.DLL succeeded." Click OK.
  5. Open Libronix and play a hymn or pronunciation.
