Overview

The history of the church in small non-Western nations is often left unstudied and even forgotten. A Short History of the Georgian Church provides a comprehensive historical outline of the Georgian Church. Written by Platon Joselian, native Georgian Christian and scholar, this work examines the major people and events that shaped and defined the Georgian faith. Additionally, Joselian takes great care to detail the relationship between the Georgian Church and other Orthodox branches, the Catholic Church and the Anglican Church. The book closes with a brief description of the Georgian Church’s ecclesiastical structure. S.C. Malan’s editorial guidance significantly adds to the book‘s content and historical reliability.
