About the Author
Leon Morris retired as Principal of Ridley College in Melbourne, Australia, in 1979. He is the author of more than forty books, including The Apostolic Preaching of the Cross, the volumes on Matthew and Romans in The Pillar New Testament Commentary, and the volumes on John and the Thessalonian epistles in the New International Commentary on the New Testament.

Leon Morris (1914–2006) was a leading evangelical New Testament scholar. He received his PhD from the University of Cambridge in England. He was principal of Ridley College in Melbourne, Australia, retiring in 1979. He then served as visiting professor of New Testament at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.

In my youth, Leon Morris was on of the authors who influenced me greatly. I learnt a love for John's Gospel, for the Incarnation and for the Atonement from his many writings. So it was my delight to discover that I had a book of his that I hadn't read before! Whilst this book is over 60 years old, it is still very relevant and Morris' style is always quite readable. This is a fine, short book looking at "Who is Jesus?" by doing a brief coverage of most of the New Testament. Morris shows how throughout the NT, that Jesus not only claims but is proclaimed to be fully God and fully man. Whilst touching base on quite a few scholastic issues, the Author sticks primarily to the NT (which is what the book title says) and his love of Scripture shines through, as does his appreciation for Historic Christianity. Highly recommended!
