Overview
Bob Warren’s “God’s Heart Commentary” is a four-part series which covers challenging theological issues regarding God’s sovereignty and free will. God’s Heart as It Relates to Foreknowledge-Predestination is the first in the series and covers the topic from the standpoint of the full counsel of God’s Word.
Warren seeks not to color the Word with the opinions of men, but rather seeks to view each verse pertaining to foreknowledge and predestination in the context of all 66 books of Scripture. He allows words to retain their plain and clear meaning, eliminating any need to yield to mystery in an attempt to justify a contradictory mindset. His text asserts that any reading of God’s Word that is inconsistent with an honest, loving God—as defined repeatedly in his Word—is both misleading to the reader and in violation of truth.
