You will be hard pressed to find a more complete, balanced treatment of the various models of Spiritual Formation throughout church history. Boa does a nearly exhaustive study of how Christians have practiced the outworking of sanctification in each of the denominational settings. Your mind will be stretched and your soul refreshed as you learn twelve Christian approaches to pursuing our Father's heart. You will be attracted to probably several that fit your personality and biblical heritage. You will also be encouraged to explore others you may not initially appreciate, but could very well learn to incorporate in your devotional and worship times with God. I promise this: if you'll take some quiet hours to read and meditate your life will be richer spiritually.
