Top Highlights

“The lion of Judah is a very prominent symbol in Jewish tradition, as borne out by its depiction on ancient coins unearthed in the Holy Land, as well as on a modern Israeli coin.” (source)

“Basically, to bless someone is to bestow life and goodness on him.” (source)

“The most significant truth about Reuben is not what is said about him, but what is not said about him! Reuben produced not one single prophet, military leader, judge or important person in the history of Israel. As a matter of fact, the most impressive contribution made by Reuben seems to be the lending his name to a delicious corned beef and sauerkraut sandwich!” (source)

“This was not enough, however, to remove the scar of the earlier wound, even though that wound may have healed. ‘But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding; he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul. A wound and dishonor shall he get; and his reproach shall not be wiped away’ (Prov. 6:32–33).” (source)

“The second lesson follows: Our sins can be forgiven, but the effects of our sins often must still be experienced.” (source)

Excellent! An exquisite resource gives breadth to Scripture. It's breath to the depth of the 12 tribes is truly helpful. Just study one tribe a night, you will then see the OT in a more complete light.
