Iain Torrance (b. 1949) is pro-chancellor of the University of Aberdeen, dean of the Chapel Royal in Scotland, honorary professor of early Christian doctrine and ethics at the University of Edinburgh, emeritus professor of Patristics at Princeton Theological Seminary, and a chaplain Queen Elizabeth II. He was educated at Oxford and has written widely on issues in contemporary theology and is a respected historian of Eastern Christianity. He has contributed to The Oxford Handbook of Systematic Theology, The Cambridge Dictionary of Christian Theology, and edited To Glorify God: Essays on Modern Reformed Liturgy. He is the son of influential theologian T.F. Torrance. He also published an English-only version of Sergius-Severus correspondence entitled Christology after Chalcedon.
