Overview

William Wilson empowers English-language Bible students with a valuable tool: easy access to the literal meanings of Old Testament Hebrew words. Wilson’s Old Testament Word Studies equips students to study Old Testament texts as though they have a working knowledge of the original language.

This dictionary and concordance is both comprehensive and easy to use. It provides every word of the KJV Old Testament, with the corresponding Hebrew words and their literal meanings. The entries are listed in alphabetical order, allowing for quick reference. Each entry also provides a list of Scripture passages where the word occurs, enabling you to deepen your study. The work was first published in 1850 under the title The Bible Student’s Guide to the More Correct Understanding of the English Translation of the Old Testament. The work of this nineteenth-century Hebrew scholar remains an enduring classic, allowing everyday Bible readers to access insights from the text’s original language.

In the Logos edition, this valuable volume is enhanced by amazing functionality. Scripture citations link directly to English translations, and important terms link to dictionaries, encyclopedias, and a wealth of other resources in your digital library. Perform powerful searches to find exactly what you’re looking for. Take the discussion with you using tablet and mobile apps. With Logos Bible Software, the most efficient and comprehensive research tools are in one place, so you get the most out of your study.

I bid on this 8 years ago, and it still hasn't hit 50%, even though the projected prepub price is only $7. I hope a flurry of users joins the prepub on this before it gets canceled, because this is one of the handiest OT study tools available. I've had it in print for 30 years, and absolutely love it.

I've owned this book in paper format since the mid 1980's. One of my go to tools for OT word studies!

This along with Thayers was what got me through the first two years of Bible College. Great tool.

I own the paper copy of this book and recommend it for use in bible study. Must more content than the smaller Vincent OT Word study book. I was excited to see this come out on Logos Community Price list! I HIGHLY recommend prebuying now as it will cost much more when the book moves to pre pub!

This is a real gem for Bible study and word study. I recall the encouragement I received from this volume when I studied the words rendered "wait" as given on pages 470 and 471. Having such a resource as this in Logos software will make such study far more efficient.
