Overview

Tabletalk magazine was formed in 1977 to provide a substantive study tool for believers. Though its format has changed over the years, Tabletalk continues to challenge and encourage readers to dig deeper into the Word of God in order that their lives may be transformed through the renewing of their minds (Rom. 12:1–2). Daily Bible studies are the method for taking readers through the Bible, while theological articles by R. C. Sproul and other noted scholars address a particular theme each month.

Over the years, Tabletalk has been recognized for its excellence through several awards. Today, people all over the world read Tabletalk on a daily basis. The magazine is regularly found in seminary libraries and churches throughout the country.

Each month, more than 200,000 readers turn to Tabletalk for:

  • Great authors, thought-provoking topics—Each issue contains challenging, stimulating articles on a wide variety of issues related to theology and Christian living, written by eminently trustworthy authors—names like Sinclair Ferguson, John MacArthur, and R. C. Sproul.
  • A Bible study for each day—Tabletalk’s daily Bible studies offer structure for your devotional life. Bringing the best in biblical scholarship together with down-to-earth writing, Tabletalk helps you understand the Bible and apply it to daily living.
  • True to historic Christian faith—Tabletalk avoids trends, shallow doctrine, and popular movements to present biblical truth simply and clearly, in keeping with historical Christian faith and orthodoxy.
  • Friendly, approachable, and convenient—Readers find Tabletalk approachable and inviting, with many saying it’s like having coffee each morning with their favorite teachers.
  • A valuable guide—Beyond the daily Bible studies, Tabletalk includes carefully selected daily readings to take you through the Bible in a year.

Tabletalk has been a key ingredient in the diet of Christians conscious of their spiritual vitality.

Michael S. Horton, professor of theology and apologetics, Westminster Seminary, CA

Month by month, Tabletalk represents an oasis in a desert of false spirituality, mindless Christianity, and vapid conviction. Tabletalk represents theological rigor, biblical Christianity, and authentic Christian devotion. It is an antidote to the world of superficial Christianity. Read it and grow.

R. Albert Mohler Jr., president, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary

The pictures in the hard copy (monthly magazine) are great -- I subscribe to it, also. But I purchased the Logos version to enable me to search ALL of the Tabletalks for what the authors have to say on particular topics/subjects/verses. And I can do this in just a second or so. This ability has been a great help to me in research. Furthermore, Morris Proctor taught me how to organize ALL of the Tabletalks into (what he calls) a "non-versified Commentary set." So whenever I am studying a particular passage, I can search ALL of the Tabletalks for information/commentary for that particular passage (can't do that with the hard copy magazine). And that ability has been extremely useful. I'd highly recommend the Logos version of Tabletalk magazine. ___________ PS. I would be really helpful if Logos made some arrangement with Ligonier Ministries to make the Logos version available at some discount for those who already subscribe to the hard copy magazine. Perhaps Ligonier Ministries could supply some sort of code that purchasers could enter to gain a discount on the Logos version at checkout. Just a thought.

This has proved to be an excellent resource for topical study and prep when preparing to teach / preach or take a class. Great work Ligioner, and I'm grateful it is available in my Logos library.

I agree with Mike who reviewed this last year. All of the illustrations are missing and thus is a stripped-down version of what the magazine (and digital app) displays. I'm returning this collection for a full refund. I'll wait to see if they update these with the beautiful illustrations.
