Logos is pleased to present the release of this Thai translation of the Bible. Published in 1971, it is a literal translation comparable to the Revised Standard Version. Translation of the Bible into the Thai language began in the nineteenth century, and this version has been the standard translation in Thailand since 1971. Using a verse-by-verse method of translation, this work provides an accurate and faithful interpretation of the Scriptures into Thai.
This is the most common version we use in the past. Now with the new develop of Thai Standard Version (comparable to ESV) and Thai New Contemporary Version (comparable to NIV), they are better. It would be nice if Logos could have them available soon. Thank you. BTW, I am Thai, living in CA and currently working with Thai Churches here in Orange County.
My interpreter in Bangkok is an educated man, and says that the language in this Thai version doesn't make sense to most Thai people. Any chance on getting the updated/newer version of the Thai scriptures?
I would appreciate greatly if you would offer the New Thai Standard Version (THSV, rather than TSV). I'm sure that the Thai Bible Society would provide it upon request... Please?
