I find them excellent for help in preparation of sermons. Academic scholars would do well preparing from here. What better help than Life Application!

As a layman looking for easy-to-understand commentary that I can use when preparing for and teaching my adult Bible study class, this is my go-to resource. It may be shallow for academic scholars but man oh man it fits the bill for me. Would like to find a comparable Old Testament commentary.
