I own Bock and Fanning's book and it is a really good book for those who really want to know how to study the bible, and particularly, the epistles, since they are the easiest to interpret. However, you need to have a grasp of Greek, or at least the vocabulary. Most other issues are issues of grammar, like verbs, participles, nouns, adjectives, etc. But it spends time teaching the student both grammatical and structural diagramming. One deals with the individual words, and the other deals with phrases and clauses. But the examples are in the Greek text so you have to know some Greek and definitely have a lexicon beside it. Logos, can you guys please renegotiate the contract with Crossway so that we can get individual titles? I'm noticing that a lot of good books are only available if you buy other stuff (you don't want to own)with the purchase. It makes me look at other software companies to see about getting titles on their own.

Dever's overview sermons in the Message of the Old Testament and Message of the New Testament are so good and helpful as you read through the Bible. Highly recommended. The price of those two books alone almost cover this prepub.
