After years of searching and comparing Greek New Testament manuscripts, Wilbur Pickering has concluded that God used a certain line of transmission to preserve the original wording. That line is by far the largest and most cohesive of all manuscript groups, or families. It is distinguished from all other groups by the high level of care with which it was copied. It is both ancient and independent, and is the only one that has a demonstrable archetypal form in all 27 books. That archetypal form has been empirically and objectively identified by a wide comparison of family representatives.
Pickering presents this volume as the complete Greek New Testament text. In his research, he argues that this particular Greek New Testament (according to Family 35) is the “precise original wording of the NT, and that we can, and do, know what it is based on an empirical procedure.” This edition contains a new critical apparatus that examines variant readings and compares the text to six different published editions of the Greek New Testament.
