Overview

John Dominic Crossan is one of the foremost historical Jesus scholars of our time. This collection gathers eight volumes of his provocative work, exploring Jesus’ life and teachings as they are presented in the Bible, as well as several apocryphal texts. The product of a lifetime of research, works such as Cliffs of Fall, In Fragments, and The Essential Jesus examine how Jesus’ teachings are presented throughout several nontraditional sources, and look at the Galilean’s teaching from several new angles. Then, in works like The Cross that Spoke and Four Other Gospels, Crossan explores how apocryphal texts like the gospels of Thomas and Peter can affect the way we read accounts of Jesus in the traditional canon.

In the Logos editions, these volumes are enhanced by amazing functionality. Important terms link to dictionaries, encyclopedias, and a wealth of other resources in your digital library. Perform powerful searches to find exactly what you’re looking for. Take the discussion with you using tablet and mobile apps. I believe in being informed about what folk are reading, especially when it is theology that may differ from my own. LOGOS will not consider adding this to the LOGOS library unless the interest for it goes up. I hope that you will consider the pre-order so that LOGOS will add this collection to their store. Thank you.

Thank God logos is offering these books. I hope academic editions will also show in due time.
  3. Michael Stubblefield
This guy is a heretic and I can't believe Logos would offer anything associated with his name. I suggest Ben Witherington III or Greg Boyd instead. They have completely dismantled the heresy of the Jesus Seminar.
  4. Scott Degregorio
It's about time that more of his works appears as Logos editions. Let's hope that more will follow!
