Overview

Distilled from Hitchcock’s New and Complete Analysis of the Holy Bible by Roswell D. Hitchcock, these dictionaries offer thousands of informational entries, interpreting scriptural proper names and defining the “religious denominations, sects, parties, and associations,” found around the globe in the late nineteenth century. A valuable source of information offering insights into nineteenth-century Christianity, Hitchcock’s epic work is still widely read and studied today. This is the same content you’d find in any other print or digital edition of Hitchcock’s famous Bible Names Dictionary, with the harder-to-find Dictionary of Religious Denominations added as a bonus.

In the Logos editions, these volumes are enhanced by amazing functionality. Scripture citations link directly to English translations, and important terms link to dictionaries, encyclopedias, and a wealth of other resources in your digital library. Perform powerful searches to find exactly what you’re looking for. Take the discussion with you using tablet and mobile apps. With Logos Bible Software, the most efficient and comprehensive research tools are in one place, so you get the most out of your study.
