About John Wycliffe

John Wycliffe (1324-1384), also spelled Wyclif, lived almost 200 years before the Reformation, but his beliefs and teachings closely match those of Luther, Calvin and other Reformers. As a man ahead of his time, historians have called Wycliffe the Morning star of the Reformation.

About Thomas Arnold

Thomas Arnold (1823–1900) was educated at University College, Oxford. He taught English literature at numerous colleges and universities and was the author and editor of numerous works, including A Manual of English Literature: Historical and Critical, Catholic Higher Education in Ireland, Notes on Beowulf, and Passages in a Wandering Life.

    Does anyone know if this contains Wyclif's Middle English writings, or is this written in modern English (or translated if from Latin). The only works of Wyclif I can find in print are Middle English...and my Middle English is a little, uh, rusty. :)
