Founded in 1919, the Bulletin of the American Schools of Oriental Research (BASOR) is an interdisciplinary English-language journal published by the American Schools of Oriental Research (ASOR). BASOR includes technical articles covering the Near East and eastern Mediterranean world from the Paleolithic period through Islamic times. The journal’s principal subject areas include art and archaeology, history, anthropology, bioarchaeology and archaeozoology, archaeometry, geography, philology and epigraphy, and literature.
