After reviewing several of the commentaries in this set, I greatly appreciate that it seeks to find and magnify Christ in all of Scripture. Truly, the goal of all Scripture, is to bring glory to God by pointing us to the person and work of Jesus Christ (Luke 24:25-27, 44-47; John 5:39, 46, Hebrews 1:1-3). So many commentaries neglect or miss this point altogether. This series gets the main emphasis of the Bible right, in every passage. For this alone, I give it four stars. What I wish the set would do, is flesh out the connection between the exegetical details of any given passage, and its emphasis on the overarching theme of Christ. At the most basic level, this would mean including Scripture references when it alludes to other passages. For example, in the comments on 2 Samuel 7, it states, "In later books like 1–2 Chronicles, the biblical writers anticipated that there would be a king who would not be like the old kings."[1] That's an excellent point! I really wish they had simply included the references to that, so I could see for myself how this is correct. Often times, it accurately sermonizes about Christ for long periods of time, without showing a direct connection to the exegetical details of the immediate context. It's strong on pointing to Christ. It's weak on showing how the details of a given passage support their conclusions, and in citing exact references to other Scriptures it borrows from. I really like how the authors analyze passages and breaks these down into mini outlines (descriptive bullet points). You can take these mini outlines and post into the notes on each passage. Click on the note marker in your bible and you have these informative points to refer back to. You can do this with other commentaries and make these your study bible. I think that there are friendlier ways to express "not liking" this and other products than some do. Just saying. God Bless.

I like this set it a combination of commentary and I see it as a devotional set to make you think about the passage. It can easily be used as a Devotional just add a prayer after each section. There may be some disagree with what is said yet I find a lot of truth in those Passages I have studied. No one commentary will have 100% of material accepted by 100% of the People. We are too Different and following different types of paths depending on our Gifts. But the set is well worth using as a resource and study Guide. Some of the Chapter OUtlines are great if not different from other OUtlines provided.
