Since the initial version I use NET Bible for study and now (2nd edition) I use even for my regular reading (when reading in English). It's so great to know that in case there is any issue with the text, we get translation notes on that and this way we can know the reasoning behind the translation. I find it so helpful.

I appreciate this for what it is, and am glad for the notes that are there, but they are not as extensive as in my hard copy of the NET 2.0 (or the official online version of the 2.0 notes, for that matter). For example, the TC note on 1 Samuel 17:5 is approximately three times as long in my hard copy (and the note in the official online version) as the TC note on the same verse is in Logos—and the Logos and hard copy notes contradict each other in the exact measurements they give for the cubit. (I’ve attached screenshots as a comment on this review.) I’m not sure how many of the notes are shorter in this online version, but I’m glad I have my hard copy. Maybe the Logos version is still using the first-edition notes? I don’t have access to a NET 1.0, so I can’t confirm.Frank Levi Russell

LOVE this translation and the full notes that come with it. Incredibly helpful for translation and reviewing points of exegetical interest. I am probably preaching to the choir here, but would LOVE for the "full notes" to be like the first edition where it can be a separate resource. I understand you can use the "power lookup" feature, but this can be tricky if you have multiple resources linked to the NET Bible during study. Please friends at Logos :)Donovan R. Palmer

The NET Bible and Notes are an invaluable tool for launching textual analysis. I am disappointed that this second edition does not have the notes file separate as we do in the first edition. Having the notes file separate, allows one to set up a layout with the notes, along with other critical resources. I hope that this can be offered in the future.Dismas

This is one of the greatest bible translations, and it is great to see it in logos. But I can't give it five stars because for some reason it doesn't have the full Logos functionality we all have come to expect. It isn't linked to the underlying text. Selecting words in the OT or NT does not link to the underlying Greek and Hebrew. Something available in almost every other translation, and a must for anybody using the NET.

when i open the NET 2nd ed. but i can't find the notes and just see the bible text only even the content such tile pages etc. Pls give me an advice Thanks

NET 2nd is very helpful, but disappointed in the Logos edition of it. None of the text is linked. You receive two separate books. An English text and a Greek text. There is no interlinear function which means neither of these can you click a word which links with Greek. For instance, if you have the Bible Word Study pane open, and you click any word in any other Bible version with Interlinear, the word is instantly linked/opened in the Word Study with the Greek word you clicked on. NET does not do this. I've used NET 2nd for a long time in OliveTree and Accordance and both of these have Greek text linked with words. Seems strange this is lacking here.Christopher Huynh

I did not find any of the glitches and errors in this NET 2nd Ed. Logos Edition that are mentioned in the older reviews below . I did a research project on the Seventy Weeks of the ninth chapter of Daniel, and the NET is miles ahead of any other English translation in its treatment of this text. Many of the translators were formally trained at Dallas Theological Seminary (the capital of Dispensational thought) or serve as professors there. I have a disdain for Dispensational eschatology, yet even I recognize that this work is truly superlative. Just look at the NET's study note for Matthew 24:15. It is completely unbiased!Peyton Stone

I love the NET Bible but unfortunately this version is littered with spelling and grammatical errors which are very distracting and detract heavily from he experience of bible study.Murper

How do I just see the footnotes preceded by the verse number? I have the first edition notes and it works perfectly, but the second edition has the footnote numbers inside the text of their translation and each has to be clicked to view, or the Information panel has to be open. I want to copy only the notes into my exegetical work like I do from the first edition. Is there not just a "notes" only edition like "The NET Bible First Edition Notes" resource? Should I just return this because it doesn't function like the first edition? I've verified all the settings between the two editions and cannot find anything that would allow me to view only the footnotes.
