Francis Schaeffer influenced Christian thought across half a century of teaching and evangelical leadership. This two-volume collection presents a unique view of Schaeffer’s perspectives on Christian life and theology. Examining themes that form the foundation of Francis Schaeffer’s life, practice, and teaching, the editors present an insightful and distilled perspective of Schaeffer’s thought. The Finished Work of Christ, constituting some of Schaeffer’s earliest work, presents verse-by-verse commentary on the first eight chapters of Romans, first given in a student flat in Lausanne, Switzerland in the 1960s. The Letters of Francis A. Shaeffer collects three sets of letters Schaeffer wrote over the course of his life, edited after his death according to his own instructions.
Francis A. Schaeffer (1912–1984) authored more than 20 books, which have been translated into a score of languages and sold millions worldwide.
