Overview
The Apocalypse of John presents itself as a “Revelation of Jesus Christ” (Rev 1:1)—a fact too often overlooked by interpreters of this last book of the Bible. As Msgr. A. Robert Nusca’s The Christ of the Apocalypse: Contemplating the Faces of Jesus in the Book of Revelation proposes, beyond predictions of earthquakes and falling stars, St. John articulates from start to finish a multifaceted and compelling portrait of Jesus Christ.
Nusca offers an exegetical reading of selected verses of the Book of Revelation, incorporating rich spiritual and pastoral reflections. A. Robert Nusca is a Roman Catholic priest of the Archdiocese of Toronto. He earned a doctorate in Sacred Theology from the Gregorian University. Msgr. Nusca is currently the Pastor of Holy Rosary Parish, Toronto. He is Associate Professor of New Testament Studies at St. Augustine’s Seminary and served as President-Rector of St. Augustine’s from 2001–2014.
