The addition of these key volumes to the Old Testament for Everyone series, the counterpart to the wildly popular New Testament for Everyone Series (18 vols.), are designed to draw readers into the biblical text in a conversational way while informing them about the key exegetical and theological issues pertinent to the life, faith, and history of ancient Israel. Internationally respected Old Testament scholar John Goldingay addresses these often enigmatic biblical books in such a way that he transforms even the most obtuse passages into clear, meaningful, and personally applicable biblical teaching. Used by seasoned scholars, secondary educators, and lay people alike, this series provides sound biblical exposition in an unusually engaging style.
This series is truly for everyone who wants to grow in his or her understanding of the Old Testament.
—Tremper Longman III, Robert H. Gundry Professor of Biblical Studies, Westmont College
