Logos' music room keeps in tune with employee interests
World's leading Bible software publisher brings sounds of Northwest indoors, makes ideal workplace even better
BELLINGHAM, Wash.— At Logos Bible Software, the halls are alive with the sound of music. The industry's leading developer of electronic Bible study resources recently added a music center to its long list of employee amenities, giving workers the opportunity to jam with each other on guitars, keyboards and a drum set, or just practice privately. With this worker-friendly environment, nearly 250 employees at its Pacific Northwest headquarters in Bellingham, Washington, have many reasons for loving to work, which can be seen through Logos' five appearances on the Best Christian Workplaces list.
"We're always looking for new ways to make working at Logos a great experience, and our music center is just our latest addition," said Logos President and CEO Bob Pritchett. "Happy employees make a happy president, and more importantly ... happy customers. The energetic culture at Logos keeps us growing and helps us make the best Bible software on the planet."
Not your typical company, Logos offers its employees a wide range of perks that extend well beyond a music center, health benefits and unlimited vacation time. Walk in the doors of its historic downtown Flatiron building and you'll find an outdoor center for biking, kayaking, canoeing and disc golf. Continue around the campus to see employees engaging in ping pong, air hockey, foosball, lunchtime runs on the waterfront and sporadic Nerf gun fights in the hallways. Logos' free beverage stations, along with free movie, video game and book rentals in its indoor center also help make it a home away from home.
All this helps Logos produce its top-selling product, Logos 4, which provides searchable, integrated multiplatform digital libraries and databases for Bible study, making tens of thousands of electronic resources available to Mac, PC and mobile users. This tool is used by church, academic and lay markets and is a dynamic part of the Logos community's daily lives. And with its recent launches of Vyrso: Christian Ebooks and Proclaim Church Presentation Software, along with the introduction of two new highly anticipated products later in 2012, Logos is hoping its employees take advantage of all that Logos has to offer, get refreshed and continue putting out an award-winning product.
Logos is the leading provider of multilingual tools and resources for Bible study on Macs, PCs and mobile devices. Logos has served pastors, scholars and everyone who wants to study the Bible since 1992, partnering with 150 publishers to offer more than 21,000 Christian ebooks to users in 210 countries.
