New Software Integrates Scripture and Tradition: Logos Bible Software Releases Catholic Packages

Bellingham, WANovember 29—Logos Bible Software has released two Catholic library packages: the Catholic Scripture Study Library and the Catholic Scholar’s Library. Integrating the Scripture with the Tradition, these new releases are ideal for Catholic Bible study.

“Logos provides a treasure trove of insights both on Scripture and on countless other faith-building resources, including the Church Fathers, Church councils, and the great saints and doctors of the Church,” said Jimmy Akin, senior apologist for Catholic Answers. “I use Logos Bible Software constantly; I am convinced of its value, and I enthusiastically recommend it to others.”

These extensive Logos libraries run on Mac and PC, and are compatible with the iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. Hundreds of essential works are included, such as the documents of Vatican II, the Summa Theologica of St. Thomas Aquinas, and the works of Cardinal Newman, as well as the tools needed to study the Scripture in Greek, Hebrew, and Latin.

“This is more than software. It’s a respectable theological library that fits easily onto an iPad and goes everywhere you might have to go,” said Mike Aquilina, author of more than thirty books on Catholicism. “In some ways, it's better than the bookshelves of a theological library, since it's searchable.”
