Bellingham, WA—December 2, 2011—Logos Bible Software and Zondervan announced a renewed agreement to bring more books and titles to the Logos platform.
As part of the agreement, Logos will make the NIV available to hundreds of thousands of mobile users through its iPhone, iPad, and Android apps. Logos has also added the NIV to its online Bible study site at Biblia.com.
“The NIV has been available on the Logos desktop app for several years. We’re thrilled to be able to offer this valuable translation to our hundreds of thousands of mobile users,” said Bob Pritchett, president and CEO of Logos Bible Software.
The Logos mobile app brings reading plans, searching, word studies, and other features to the NIV. With the app, any Bible reference in any book in a user’s library can be set to link back to the NIV. This seamless integration makes reading the Logos mobile app the optimal platform for reading and studying the NIV.
“The NIV is the world’s bestselling Bible. Now, the Logos app not only lets readers bring the NIV with them wherever they go, but it also provides them with a complete set of high-end tools for studying the NIV on the iPhone, iPad, and Android devices,” said Chip Brown, senior vice president and publisher of Bibles at Zondervan.
In addition to the NIV, Zondervan and Logos have agreed to release several additional products through Logos’ platform. New reference books and commentaries will be available on both Logos desktop and mobile apps. The titles will be announced in December, 2011, with publication expected in early 2012.
