Logos Tech Tip: 4 Easy Ways to Find Anything in Logos

One of the most tangible benefits of a digital library is the ability to quickly search and find whatever you need with a couple clicks. No matter what you’re looking for, Logos has a way to search for it.

  • The Selection menu runs the most relevant search on your word or phrase. Just select a word or phrase and click “search.”
  • Inline search is the best way to find something within an open resource.
  • The Context menu allows you to painlessly run advanced searches while examining any open resource. Right-click any word or phrase to examine your tools and search options. Logos will take care of the details.
  • Use the full Search Tool to conduct basic and advanced searches on any resource or on your entire library.

Templates help you run advanced searches without requiring you to know special syntax. For instance, you can find every time Jesus speaks to his disciples about love by providing the speaker (Jesus), the recipients (disciples), and the topic (love), and Logos will add this in the search field: {Speaker <Person Jesus>} INTERSECTS {Addressee <Person Disciples>} INTERSECTS love.
