How to Report Bugs in Logos 4 Mac
Problem:
I have encountered an Error in Logos 4 Mac and need to report it, or a Support Technician has requested that I send them log files.
Solution:
Step 1: Enable Logging
- Quit Logos 4 if it is already open.
- Open Finder to the Applications folder.
- Navigate to Utilities.
- Open
Terminal. - Enter the following command, exactly (Case Sensitive):
defaults write com.logos.Logos_Bible_Software_4 LoggingEnabled -bool YES
6. Open Logos 4 and recreate the problem.
Step 2: Archive your Logs
- Open Finder.
- On your keyboard, press: Shift+Command+G to open the "Go to Folder" option.
- Type in: ~/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Logging.
- Select all files by pressing Command+A.
- Go to File: Compress 4 items and a new "Archive.zip" should have be created in the Logging folder.
Step 3: Make a Report
- Click here to visit the Logos 4 Mac forum.
- Click on “Write a New Post.”
- Enter a description of what you were doing when the bug or crash occured.
- Attach your "Archive.zip" file from Step 2 using the media button shown with a small “paper clip” icon.
- Then “Post” your bug report.
- The Development team monitors these forums and will be in touch with you as possible.
- If a Support Technician requested your logs, skip this step and email your logs to that Technician.
