Programming with the Libronix DLS Object Model

Note: The Libronix DLS Object Model Reference is a highly technical document intended for advanced users who want to modify and extend the software's behavior. Technical support is not available for the Libronix DLS object model or for those using the document to modify their software.

The Libronix DLS, the technology beneath Logos Bible Software Series X, consists of a large library of COM objects. Like Microsoft Word and Excel, the Libronix DLS exposes many of these objects through a published object model, documented in the Libronix DLS Object Model Reference, a freely downloadable eBook.

You can create custom toolbar buttons within the Libronix DLS that contain JavaScript that uses the object model. You can also write external applications that drive the Libronix DLS in VB, VBA, JavaScript, C++, Delphi, or any other language that supports programming with COM objects.

Technical support is not available for the Libronix DLS object model, but you can ask questions, find examples, and post your custom scripts on the news://news.logos.com/automation newsgroup.

Note:  The Libronix DLS Object Model does not include its own Table of Contents, however, you can use the Toggle Contents Pane button on the resource toolbar to display the contents pane. To hide the contents pane, click the button on the toolbar again, or press Esc.
